Car seats are one of our most needed items. We respond to dozens of calls each month in search of safe infant and child car seats.
The Little Resource Center Carbondale urgently needs infant and child car seats to assist:
- Case managers, families, and foster guardians with emergency child placement needs.
- New parents who cannot be discharged from labor and delivery without a car seat.
- Low-income families when their children outgrow their current seats and require replacements.
As one of the few local organizations offering this service, we prioritize low-income families and screen them for income and needs before providing a car seat. Our "stop gap" car seat fund only kicks in after all other assistance options are exhausted.
Your donation will help us meet the critical demand for this legally required and life-saving item, enabling us to support families and communities effectively.
We rely on item donations to help us to respond to requests throughout the month and to help stock our monthly “Free Sales”
Donations of diapers, wipes, and formula are always welcome. We can accept open packages of diapers, but we require all formula and wipe donations to be sealed for safety and sanitation purposes.
